Authorities are seeking information in the wake of a homicide that took place early this week in Northeast Washington. According to a statement from the Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 1600 block of Benning Road NE around 12:02 a.m. on Monday after reports of gunfire were received.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found Larry Evans, a 48-year-old man from Northwest, DC, with a gunshot wound. He was unconscious and not breathing at the time. They encourage anyone with information to call the police at (202) 727-9099 or to send a tip via text to the department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411, with the case number CCN: 25026753 associated with the homicide.
