Dallas' dining scene is gearing up for a dash of Parisian flair with the soon-to-be-opened Café Dior by Dominique Crenn. Located inside the new Dior store at Highland Park Village, the café has its opening slated for February 22, with a culinary offering overseen by the Michelin-starred chef herself, WFAA reports. With reservations quickly booking up through March, those eager to experience this blend of high fashion and high cuisine will have to plan or wait their turn.
Bringing a taste of luxury to the table, Café Dior's menu, designed by Chef Crenn and Executive Pastry Chef Juan Contreras, is steeped in French influences paralleling Dior’s fashion heritage, which is, the café is not just a place to grab a coffee but a visual and culinary representation of the brand's luxurious ethos; this includes dishes such as chicken salad "petit fleurs" sandwich and a zucchini & apple salad, according to CultureMap.
Crenn, with distinctions that include being the first female chef in the U.S. to gain three Michelin stars, has tailored the café's offerings to mirror Dior's illustrious designs, "I was inspired by all the designs of Maison Dior from 1947 to now, from Monsieur Dior to John Galliano to Maria Grazia Chiuri to Yves Saint Laurent," she said, as per WFAA.
