The Metropolitan Police Department is searching for a suspect who allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint in the southeast part of the District.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department release, the robbery occurred on the 400 block of K Street, Southeast, on Friday last week evening when the suspect reportedly confronted the victim, displayed a handgun, and stole his belongings. The incident happened at 6:58 p.m., prompting a quick response from First District officers.
The suspect was captured on nearby surveillance cameras, and images are now being circulated to request public help. D.C. law enforcement advises against public confrontation and urges anyone with information to contact police at (202) 727-9099 or text the TIP LINE at 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction related to this or other violent crimes in the city.
