The wave of unlawful vehicle usage arrests continued through January with Marvin York, 63, of Southeast, DC, being one of the individuals caught on Wednesday near East Capitol Street, NE & Burns Street, NE. That same day, Tamia Mayo, 19, from Northeast, DC, and Malik Perry, 22, of Southeast, DC, were both noted for unauthorized use of a vehicle on the 1100 block of Florida Avenue, NE.

Concluding the series of arrests, the police announced on Thursday the capture of three suspects - Damita Atkinson, 20, from Northeast, DC, who was charged alongside Malaysia Brent, 23, with no fixed address, and Mohammed Deen, 29, from Upper Marlboro, MD. All three were apprehended for the same alleged offense, committed in the 1800 block of West Virginia Avenue, NE, culminating a significant operation to curtail a surge of unauthorized vehicle use cases across the district.
