A multi-vehicle crash caused significant disruptions along Interstate 17 in north Phoenix this past Saturday, with several southbound lanes near Deer Valley Road being blocked. The Phoenix Fire Department was on scene to evaluate injuries and manage the aftermath with, Fire Capt. Rob McDade stated in a statement obtained by FOX10 Phoenix, "A total of seven patients were evaluated, three of them being transported to a local trauma hospital, and four of them signing refusals after being medically evaluated" despite not all lanes having been immediately cleared and investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing with details scarce as of yet.
All southbound lanes that were affected by the crash have since been cleared, allowing traffic to resume its usual flow.
