A woman was hospitalized and a man taken into custody following a reported assault incident in Muskegon, Michigan, early Tuesday morning. According to the Muskegon Police Department (MPD), the episode unfolded in the 900 block of Evanston Avenue, where officers responded to calls concerning a female allegedly being held against her will and assaulted. WOODTV reported that the police surrounded the house after finding credence in the report and, after making entry, discovered the injured woman inside.
In a home where dread had seemingly settled like an unwanted guest, the MPD found the 36-year-old woman, who was subsequently sent to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The FOX 17 coverage noted that officers took a 59-year-old Muskegon man from the scene into custody. The nature of the relationship between the two individuals was not immediately clear.
Authorities have yet to release the names of the arrested individuals. However, they are seeking assistance from anyone with additional knowledge on the matter. Individuals with information are encouraged to reach out directly to MPD at 231-724-6750 or provide anonymous tips to Silent Observer at 231-722-7463, as per the instructions in a WWMT report.
