A 35-year-old man with a history of criminal convictions caused a stir in Nashville after leading police on a high-speed chase and was later found with drugs, according to multiple reports. WSMV detailed an incident involving Terron Reeves, who was spotted driving his Honda Accord at velocities reaching 100 mph. Reeves, upon being pursued by the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), made the drastic and dangerous choice to veer into oncoming traffic, nearly colliding with a detective's vehicle which necessitated an evasive maneuver to avoid a potential crash.

Reeves' attempt to elude law enforcement did not conclude with the hazardous road antics, after parking his vehicle in a garage on 11th Avenue North, he tried to flee on foot but was ultimately apprehended and found to be carrying marijuana, amphetamine pills, and a digital scale; officers arrested Reeves and he was additionally found with marijuana in his pocket at the Downtown Detention Center, according to FOX17. Reeves, who was already marked by previous robbery, drug, and weapons convictions, racked up a slew of charges, including both felony and misdemeanor evading arrest, contraband in a penal institution, marijuana possession, drug possession without a prescription, evidence tampering, and drug paraphernalia.

Despite the seriousness of the incident and his extensive criminal record, Reeves did not remain behind bars for long. Booking records cited by WKRN indicated that Reeves was released from Metro Jail on a $18,500 bond, a mere three hours following his detention by MNPD officers.
