The City of Newnan has highlighted Brent Snodgrass, Director of Leisure Services, as an ascendant professional tapped to join the ranks of the 2025 Young Gamechangers program. Forty-nine individuals have been chosen for this leadership initiative, courtesy of GeorgiaForward, aiming to tackle nagging issues in various Georgia communities. As per the City of Newnan's recent announcement, Snodgrass will work alongside a cadre of accomplished peers come April.
Having expressed his enthusiasm, Snodgrass is gearing up for collaboration with his diverse counterparts. "I am very excited to work with such a diverse group of accomplished, creative, and hard-working Georgians and create a positive impact in the hometown of my alma mater," Snodgrass told the City of Newnan. His appointment comes from GeorgiaForward, essentially a non-profit steered by the Georgia Municipal Association, designed to foster cross-pollination of ideas and solutions by merging talents from disparate sectors across the state.
Young Gamechangers stands out as a distinctive program, pulling in professionals tasked with devising strategies for one community's chronic dilemmas per annum. The program reputedly handpicks individuals who demonstrate promising potential in leadership and innovation, offering them a platform to influence local policy and contribute substantially to Georgia's growth. The City of Newnan notes that Snodgrass is familiar with this year's focus area, as it is where he began his academic journey.
