
The New York Police Department is turning to the public to help locate a suspect wanted in connection with a homicide that took place in Brooklyn last month. The crime occurred on January 12, in front of 837 Utica Avenue, within the confines of the NYPD's 67th Precinct. The department has released a photo of the individual believed to be responsible.
Details surrounding the incident are still forthcoming, but authorities are urging anyone with information to step forward. A post published on the NYPD Crimestoppers Facebook page stated, "WANTED-HOMICIDE: 1/12/2025 NYPD 67th Precinct Occurred in front of 837 Utica Avenue the individual pictured is wanted in connection to a homicide. The NYPD needs your assistance locating and identifying this individual." The NYPD hasn't disclosed the victim's identity or the circumstances leading up to the deadly encounter.
In an effort to encourage witnesses and those with relevant information to come forward, NYPD Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to $3,500 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect. Those with information regarding the suspect's whereabouts are asked to call the Crimestoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS. All calls are kept confidential.
