A tragic shooting early in the morning in South Nashville has left one man dead and two others wounded, as reported by the Nashville Metro Police Department. The incident occurred outside a Nolensville Pike hookah bar at around 2:45 a.m. following a dispute that has now led to an intensive investigation. The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Ahmed Amran, who was found lifeless in a vehicle that had crashed into a nearby building after gunfire.
According to the police, the shooter is believed to have been inside the hookah bar before the incident and retrieved a weapon from a vehicle parked outside. "The investigation to this point shows that a person, who is also believed to have been in the hookah bar, retrieved a gun from a vehicle in the parking lot and then shot specifically at the Honda as it left," a statement from the police detailed. The two wounded men, both 23, were passengers in the targeted gray Honda Accord—one suffering a gunshot to the back and the other to the leg.
Authorities are currently chasing down solid leads to apprehend the perpetrator responsible for this act of violence. The wounded passengers were taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center, with one first showing up at Southern Hills Medical Center before being transferred.
