On a recent evening in Oxnard, a routine traffic stop turned into a firearms arrest when local police pulled over a 22-year-old resident, identified as Alvieri Romero. According to the Oxnard Police Department, officers stopped a red '22 GMC pickup truck for vehicle violations on the 2900 block of Saviers Road.
During the interaction with the driver and the only person in the truck, authorities discovered that Romero had a firearm on him which led to further investigation that resulted in locating the weapon, the incident subsequently ended with Romero's arrest under firearms charges, he was later booked into Ventura County Jail, as stated in the police release.
