Relief has finally arrived for the teachers in the Isaac Elementary School District after what can only be described as a tense period of uncertainty regarding their paychecks. Arizona's State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Horne has confirmed that the necessary funds to cover teacher payroll have been dispatched to the district, according to an official release on the Arizona Department of Education's website.
In an act that can breathe life back into the morale of the educators who have been showing up for work in a climate of financial insecurity, Horne said, “The crisis in the Isaac district is over and the teachers are getting paid,” as stated by the Arizona Department of Education. He also extended his gratitude to the Maricopa County Treasurer, John Allen, for his "statesmanship" and heralded the teachers for their patience and heroism during the crisis.
It has been through their unwavering commitment, showing up and fulfilling their duties without the certainty of receiving their hard-earned pay, that teachers mirrored patience and heroism. “I want to applaud them for their patience and heroism in continuing to do their jobs this week," Horne said, in a reflection of their dedication despite the financial imbroglio that had entangled their livelihoods, as per the Arizona Department of Education.
