
A tragic incident occurred over the weekend in Jefferson County, claiming the life of a pedestrian in a vehicular collision. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, troopers were dispatched at around 6 p.m. yesterday to a scene of a single-vehicle crash at State Route 30 and Caroline Drive in High Ridge Township, where they found that a vehicle had struck a pedestrian, as per KDSK.
The identity of the pedestrian has not been released at this time, however, the Highway Patrol confirmed that the driver involved in the crash was still present at the location when authorities arrived. As per FOX 2 Now's report, the circumstances leading up to the crash are yet to be determined, and a MSHP crash reconstruction team was called to the scene to analyze the details of the incident. The aftermath of the collision prompted road closures while cleanup crews worked on the scene.
In the wake of this fatal event, the eastbound passing lane of Highway 30 was temporarily closed to traffic, as mentioned by First Alert 4. The crash investigators, who specialize in reconstructing such incidents, headed to the site of the unfortunate fatality to piece together the sequence of events that led to the pedestrian's death.
