
A 50-year-old Philadelphia police officer was injured in a hit-and-run incident in West Philly while conducting a vehicle investigation on Thursday. CBS News Philadelphia reported that the incident occurred on the 6800 block of Haverford Avenue just before noon. A separate vehicle, unrelated to the officer's investigation, hit the officer and fled, damaging the front door of the police vehicle.
The identity of the vehicle responsible is still unknown, and no details about its make or model have been provided. The officer, who was struck by the vehicle, was taken to Roxborough Hospital. NBC Philadelphia reported that the officer is expected to recover and be released.
