Philadelphia Parks & Recreation is preparing to open registration for its 2025 summer camps. On Thursday, families who have previously enrolled their children can secure their spots, while new families can register starting Monday next week.
According to the City of Philadelphia website, the day camps, for children ages 6 to 12, are held at over 100 community locations. The camps include a variety of activities such as games, sports, arts and crafts, and more, all designed to keep kids engaged and help them form friendships.
Kids will have opportunities to cool off at pools or spraygrounds, with swim lessons available to build confidence in the water. The camps aim to provide a safe and caring environment for all participants.
Meals are provided twice a day to keep children energized. The camps also offer field trips to expand children's curiosity and experiences. Camp dates are from July 7 to August 15. Families who may need financial assistance can apply for limited fee waivers, depending on funding availability. Registration involves submitting a form and fee waiver request at your local recreational center.
