Heike, aged 29 at the time of her death, was found slain on a hiking path in North Phoenix, and now Teasley, already accused of her stabbing, is charged with ten further counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, with the allegations suggesting he was involved in the distribution or receipt of child pornography during 2019 and 2020. Teasley's court appearance for these new charges has already taken place.
According to a probable cause statement, security footage shows Teasley chasing down Heike before quickly leaving the scene, only to return to where her body lay behind a barbed wire barrier. although not before a brief fleeting and one would imagine frantic escape. Previous employment records illuminated by police investigations reveal Teasley's firing from a job based on "aggressive toward female employees" and suspicions of theft.
Further compounding his legal troubles, Teasley is embroiled in another legal battle for an incident occurring in 2020 involving aggravated assault and burglary, both of which also implicated a knife and another female victim who managed to survive the attack as detailed by 12 News. This additional case in Maricopa County is inextricably linked to his growing list of charges.
