The summary of their week on duty, shared via their Facebook page, showcases the breadth of responses that tasked the department's officers.
During this period, the department recorded a total of 704 incidents, requiring the attention and resolve of Plymouth's finest. The calls ranged from 59 medical, mental, and wellbeing checks to 31 motor vehicle accidents that punctuated the week. "Thank you to our officers for their dedication and to our community for your support! Stay safe, Plymouth!" the Facebook post read, manifesting the intertwining threads of community and service.
Moving through the list, the department made 8 arrests and filed 14 criminal complaints, indicating a steady pulse of law enforcement activity within the city. Tallying up the traffic-related responses, officers conducted 97 traffic stops and responded to 26 house & building alarms. Additionally, the police were called to address 8 disturbances and investigate 19 instances of suspicious activities.
The police report also noted an intriguing figure of 30 accidental 911 calls, a testament to the sometimes unpredictable nature of emergency services work.
