
A human skull was found near Buffalo Bayou in Houston's Fifth Ward. The Houston Police Department is investigating after a man searching for scrap metal discovered the remains in the 100 block of Hirsch Road on Wednesday, as stated by Click2Houston.
According to KHOU, human remains were found inside a cooler that someone opened. Police confirmed the discovery but have not yet determined whether the skull belongs to an adult or a child. Authorities are continuing their investigation to identify the remains and determine the circumstances surrounding the case.
Authorities are investigating a site south of Clinton Drive, awaiting identification from the medical examiner's office. The Houston Police Department has not reported any witnesses, and no further details have been released. "This is a developing story. We will update if/when we receive more information," KHOU reported.
