Late at night, the Rancho Cordova Police Department responded to a burglary alarm at a local business. What seemed like a typical alarm quickly turned into a well-coordinated response, with officers setting a perimeter and bringing in a drone and K9 unit to search the premises, as per the Rancho Cordova Police Department.
With methodical precision, Rancho Cordova Police Department patrol officers alongside their four-legged and airborne companions swept through the two-story office building. Ensuring every clandestine corner was scrutinized, it wasn't long before the suspects were found. The culprits, two individuals who opted for the confined spaces of a ceiling crawl space to evade capture, found their plans foiled. The Rancho Cordova Police Department relayed the sequence of events via a social media post, noting, "A search team made entry and began a systematic clearing process of the interior of the building."
In what concluded as a textbook case of teamwork, the suspects, now stripped of their hideaway, were apprehended without further incident and were transported to the Sacramento County Main Jail facing burglary charges. In their Facebook post, Rancho Cordova Police Department added, "This is another great example of teamwork and collaboration between RCPD, the businesses in our community, and our law enforcement partners in helping keep our city safe!"
