Amidst allegations of sexual abuse spanning multiple victims, a janitor formerly employed by the Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) is now facing serious legal repercussions. According to KTLA, Mario Moralez Guadalupe, a 31-year-old from Riverside, is charged with 19 felony counts.
KTLA reports that after Guadalupe’s arrest on January 15, he was charged with multiple counts of lewd acts on a minor, oral copulation, sexual penetration of a minor, and other serious accusations, and has pleaded not guilty.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Department has suggested there may be as many as 21 victims, as stated by Patch. However, the school district maintains that none of these victims are among their students.
Guadalupe remains in custody, his bail set at $1.22 million, at the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center in French Valley, as per The Sun.
