Following a dramatic series of events, a robbery suspect is now in custody after a coordinated effort by multiple Bay Area police departments. On Valentine's Day, the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety received a distress call from an employee at Pep Boys on Redwood Drive who had been forcefully relieved of a bank bag containing cash by a male assailant.

Responding officers used Flock ALPR Technology to trace the getaway vehicle's license plate, leading them to Daly City. The Daly City Police Department spotted the vehicle and initiated a pursuit when the driver refused to stop. The chase briefly continued into San Francisco before the suspects' vehicle crashed. Although one suspect remains at large, three were apprehended, including the man believed to be the principal robber, 19-year-old Myles Jerel Wilkerson of Oakland. The stolen bank deposit bag was reportedly recovered from the vehicle.

Wilkerson, who already had outstanding warrants in Oakland, was arrested and transferred to Rohnert Park officers. He is accused of robbery and conspiracy and is held on $150,000 bail at the Sonoma County Jail.
