The incident occurred on February 4, 2021, near the intersection of Sierra College Blvd and Schriber Wy/Bass Pro Dr at around 10:45 p.m. The Rocklin Police Department emphasized the ongoing impact on Swahn's family, stating, "The Swahn family has had to live without answers as to what happened to their loved one. They deserve justice and closure."
Despite the time that has passed, law enforcement continues to investigate the case. To encourage tips, the department highlights the $30,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the responsible person.
