In a recent development, the Rocklin Police Department has taken into custody 29-year-old Toni Ann Beno, who is now facing charges for attempted kidnapping and battery after an altercation that took place on Sunset Blvd.
The incident took place on Wednesday, when Beno allegedly confronted a mother and her 8-year-old child in a parking lot. The situation rapidly escalated into a physical altercation, resulting in minor injuries to the mother, while the child was unharmed. The suspect fled the scene before authorities arrived, prompting an immediate investigation that included searches of the area and interviews with witnesses, according to a social media post by the Rocklin Police Department.
Rocklin PD's dedicated detectives, assisted by city traffic cameras and Automated License Plate Reader technology, identified the suspect's vehicle and license plate, leading to Beno's subsequent arrest at a Sacramento hotel on Date Avenue.
