This message comes in the wake of a poignant discovery: a dog named Rukey was found abandoned in a Meijer parking lot, her plea for care written on a note around her collar. "My name is Rukey. Located by a group of individuals who conveyed her to the safety of KCAS, Rukey is described as a dog with a "sweet" and "gentle" demeanor, finding a temporary haven among the shelter's caring staff.
