If you have a creative business within Sacramento city limits, the EveryDay Creative accelerator program offers a 12-week intensive course designed for entrepreneurs looking to expand. According to a recent release by Sacramento City Express, the program is aimed at businesses with at least $20,000 in annual revenue and is part of a larger eight-month initiative.

Designed to support business growth, this resource is backed by the City’s Office of Arts and Culture with funding from the federal American Rescue Plan. The application deadline is March 6. The accelerator is open to creative individuals with experience gained through hands-on work or foundational entrepreneurship coursework. “Programs like EveryDay Creative are essential for strengthening Sacramento’s entrepreneurial ecosystem,” Jason Jong, the City’s arts and creative economy manager, told Sacramento City Express.

Participation includes mentorship, networking opportunities, market validation support, and potential investor introductions. Those who complete the program may also receive non-dilutive impact investments ranging from $3,000 to $5,000. Former participant Cecilia Romo highlighted the program’s benefits in an interview with Sacramento City Express, saying, "I learned the importance of mentorship, cross-collaboration with my cohort peers, crafting a compelling pitch and developing a detailed business plan." Another testament to the accelerator's effectiveness came from Eríc Martínez, chef and owner of Crispín Supper Club, who recognized the program for helping "pave my way to new resources, connections and a strong support team who wants to see me thrive."

The program offers comprehensive support, including access to a storefront for greater business visibility, as well as unique field trips and hands-on workshops. There is also customization available to ensure each entrepreneur receives the resources suited to their specific needs. The program fee is $95, but there is an option for those who are unable to pay, with a recommendation letter from a community leader.
