Sacramento residents can join a webinar on March 4 from noon to 1 p.m. to learn how to create water-efficient landscapes. The session will cover tips on using the City of Sacramento's outdoor rebate program to save water and money.

In the free webinar, water conservation experts will explain how to replace grass with drought-tolerant plants and update irrigation systems. Homeowners can get rebates up to $3,000 and $800 for irrigation updates. "This is a great learning opportunity for both homeowners and businesses looking to save water and money," said William Granger, the City’s water conservation coordinator, according to the City of Sacramento.

The City of Sacramento is offering rebates for water conservation projects, including up to $50,000 for multi-family residences and businesses focusing on grass conversion and irrigation improvements. "Our water conservation specialists will provide expert advice, share common mistakes to avoid and offer practical tips for customers looking to take advantage of available rebates," according to Granger. Residents and businesses interested in the program can sign up for an upcoming webinar, with a recording available to all registrants after the event.
