In a routine patrol turned chase, the Sacramento Police Department officers apprehended two suspects following a vehicular pursuit and on-foot escape attempt. According to a statement from the Sacramento Police Department's Facebook post, the incident occurred when a suspicious vehicle connected to a recent felony assault was spotted by police on Florin Road.
The attempt to investigate led to the vehicle fleeing and subsequently crashing, prompting its occupants to attempt an escape on foot. The police, backed by an Air Unit, managed to capture both individuals shortly after. The Sacramento Police Department's post added that "a loaded revolver was found where one suspect fled." The pair face multiple charges in the wake of their apprehension.
This recent pursuit and arrest align with the Sacramento Police Department’s broader mission to maintain public safety, as underscored by their public relations messaging. "This is a testament to the great work our officers do every day to keep Sacramento safe," the post concluded.
