A discovery in a Sacramento residential area has led to an ongoing investigation by local authorities. The Sacramento Police Department, in a recent social media post, detailed their response to reports of a possible deceased body found within a home located on the 4000 Block of Taylor Street. Police officers, arriving on the scene Tuesday just before 3:30 p.m., discovered a female adult with at least one gunshot wound.
First responders from the Sacramento Fire Department pronounced the woman deceased at the scene. Homicide detectives, along with crime scene investigators, are leading the investigation. According to the Sacramento Police, no arrests have been made, and no suspect information is available at this time.
The investigation involves processing the scene, canvassing the area, and interviewing witnesses, all of which are being conducted by detectives. The identity of the deceased is being withheld until the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office can notify the next of kin.
