
Yesterday morning, at approximately 7:15 a.m., Sacramento Police responded to a distress call regarding an adult male found deceased in the roadway on the 3900 Block of Roseville Road. Officers arrived at the scene shortly thereafter. The initial assessment suggests that the man was hit by a vehicle that fled before the officers arrived, turning this into a hit-and-run investigation that now involves the department's Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU) and Crime Scene Investigators (CSI).
The ensuing response by the Sacramento Police highlighted the urgency of the situation, with both MCIU detectives and CSI agents taking charge of the scene, conducting a sweep of the area, and questioning potential witnesses. In a statement released by the Sacramento Police Department through a social media post, the investigation was described as ongoing, and the details surrounding the incidents, remain under wraps as detectives piece together the events that led to the man's death.
