The ongoing issue of homelessness in Sacramento has led the city to take detailed actions, tracking its progress through weekly reports. According to the latest report from the City of Sacramento, between Monday last week and last Sunday, the Incident Management Team (IMT) responded to a significant number of concerns from citizens. The report, published yesterday, shows that 845 calls were made to the city’s 311 customer service regarding the unsheltered population.

The IMT closed 887 calls during the same period, indicating both responsiveness and proactivity in resolving ongoing issues. The types of closures varied; some calls resulted in direct aid or compliance, while others were closed because the issue resolved before city staff arrived. The Department of Community Response helped by enrolling 60 individuals in shared databases to connect them with shelters and resources.

On the housing front, 25 people were placed at the Roseville Road campus or the Outreach and Engagement Center (OEC). As of Tuesday, the Roseville Road campus was at full capacity, with no Pallet homes or trailers available. The OEC had 19 open spaces, and city-funded shelters, excluding Roseville Road and OEC, had an average of 17 available spaces.

In addition, 177,420 pounds of trash were removed from city streets.
