The Youth Resource & Employment Fair is scheduled for March 8, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at City Hall, located at 915 I Street in Sacramento. Hosted by the City's Youth, Parks & Community Enrichment (YPCE) Department, the event is designed for young people seeking job or career guidance.
According to Sacramento City Express, the fair welcomes individuals aged 13 to 24 and will feature over 30 vendors from diverse sectors, including trade schools, higher education, financial institutions, among others. The event offers opportunities for first jobs, summer positions, and long-term career planning. Kris Wimberly, Recreation Superintendent for Youth Workforce Development operations, emphasized the importance of providing young people with "the tools and connections they need to succeed."
Attendees will have access to free professional headshots and assistance with setting up their online application accounts for City employment opportunities. Raffle prizes will be available, and attendees can receive a free swag bag while supplies last.
