San Antonio and Bryan are in the spotlight after two men from these cities were placed on Texas' 10 Most Wanted lists. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has recently updated its roster of fugitives, publicizing the names and details of individuals who are at large and considered highly dangerous. Among the latest to be spotlighted by DPS are Brandon Hartfield, wanted for sexual assault of a child and parole violation, and Salvador Saucedo Jr., a convicted sex offender with multiple warrants out for his arrest.
Following an exhaustive manhunt, the addition of these individuals signals the ongoing commitment of the DPS to apprehend those eluding justice. According to official sources, Brandon Troy Hartfield, 37, has managed to avoid capture since August 2024 and carries a criminal history that includes aggravated robbery and burglary. The DPS website contains further details and updates concerning Hartfield, described as standing 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing approximately 235 pounds, with tattoos on his chest and arms.
Salvador Saucedo Jr., also 37, has been on the run since March 2024, wanted for indecency with a child by sexual contact and a list of additional offenses. Resisting the firm grasp of law enforcement, Saucedo escaped from custody in Bellville on January 23, and warrants quickly followed from Waller County. His list of charges runs the gambit from escape, and assault on a peace officer, to failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements. Information about Saucedo, including his appearance with tattoos on his face, neck, chest, arms, and legs, can also be found on the DPS website.
The Governor's Public Safety Office funds the Texas Crime Stoppers program, which offers cash rewards to individuals providing information leading to the arrest of persons on Texas' 10 Most Wanted lists. The program has been instrumental in the capture of seven wanted individuals so far in 2025, including two sex offenders and two criminal illegal immigrants, with rewards totaling $10,000 being disbursed. Informants have the option to offer tips anonymously via phone at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477), through the DPS website, or via a Facebook tip on the DPS page, always helping to keep their communities safer, without ever having to reveal their identity.
Community members are reminded not to approach these fugitives as they are considered armed and dangerous. Instead, anyone with information about these or other fugitives should use one of the designated anonymous methods to report their tips. The current list of Texas' 10 Most Wanted Fugitives, Sex Offenders, and Criminal Illegal Immigrants, with photos, can be accessed on the DPS website. DPS investigators collaborate with local law enforcement to select candidates for these lists, remaining vigilant and resolute in their pursuit of those who have evaded the law's reach.
