The District Attorney of Adams and Broomfield, Colorado, reports that after an unsuccessful attempt on her boyfriend's life, the relationship between White and 28-year-old Cody DeLisa became increasingly violent. On August 13, 2020, White met a man named "Scott" on a public bus. The conversation took a dark turn when Scott suggested they kill DeLisa after White accused him of rape—a claim with no outside evidence. This led to DeLisa's eventual death, as stated by FOX San Antonio.
A routine text exchange between White and her boyfriend, Scott, after a job interview quickly escalated into a tragic event. After getting off the bus, White and Scott, with Scott's gun, confronted DeLisa at White's home. Scott falsely claimed to be White's brother from Texas, and in a violent turn, DeLisa was shot twice in the head. After robbing DeLisa, Scott disappeared. Following an investigation, White was arrested and found guilty on January 6, of second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and robbery, according to Local12.
