
The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) is currently investigating a violent altercation that occurred in the Mission District, leaving a tech entrepreneur seriously injured. According to a social media post by the SFPD, on January 18, around 2:08 a.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of 24th and Bryant Streets in response to reports of a man bleeding from the head. Upon arrival, medics were already attending to the victim, who was transported to a local hospital for further care.
The SFPD is aware of this incident and has reached out to the victim. The SFPD takes violent crime very seriously and investigators are working diligently on this case.

Details emerged that the victim, identified by the San Francisco Chronicle as Vishnu Hari, co-founder of the San Francisco-based 3D simulation engine firm Ego, was involved in an argument with another individual that turned physical, leading to him being struck in the head with a metal pipe. The suspect has yet to be apprehended despite the efforts of SFPD. Hari, who has been discharged from the intensive care unit, stated on social media that he has no memory of the incident and learned of the details through friends. The attack has left him with a traumatic brain injury, partial blindness in his right eye, and impaired hearing in his left ear, with an expected recovery time spanning several months. Hari mentioned that while his phone and wallet were not stolen, his jewelry was forcefully taken during the assault.
No arrests have been made at this time, the SFPD case file, number 250-034-601, is still open and the investigation continues, as the police work closely with district attorneys to ensure justice is served.
