San Jose Man Charged with Drug Possession, Intent to Sell, and Unregistered Firearm After Latest Arrest in CampbellSource: Campbell Police Department

The ongoing saga of Briley Bodemar, the San Jose man entangled with the law over several instances of vandalism and criminal activity, has again grasped the attention of the Campbell community. According to the Campbell Police Department, Bodemar first drew the police's focus after an artful act of defacing the Campbell water tower, which led to his initial arrest. Further investigation connected him to a series of graffiti incidents throughout the county.

On January 21, following Bodemar's release from the Supervised Own Recognizance Program (SORP), he found himself in trouble once again. After a vehicle collision on S. Bascom Avenue at around 10:44 AM, Campbell officers discovered Bodemar as a passenger in the car. Despite his SORP status, or perhaps because of it, he was found in possession of controlled substances, additional drugs, and equipment indicative of drug sales. This discovery triggered fresh charges for drug possession and intent to sell, but Bodemar managed to post bail the following day.

The trail of infractions traced back to Bodemar's residence, where Campbell detectives unveiled a loaded, unregistered handgun, various controlled substances, a significant amount of marijuana, and paraphernalia associated with drug processing and distribution upon serving a search warrant. He faced arrest for the third time in January, charged with illegal firearm possession and operating a drug sales location, among other felonies and misdemeanors, yet again posting bail soon after.

Meanwhile, the Campbell Police Department captured headlines with a different Bodemar incident at the city's well-known water tower. According to Hoodline, a standoff unfolded in the early hours of Sunday when officers arrived at 2:25 AM to find Bodemar atop the structure. His resistance persisted, staying aloof, ultimately leading to a brief foot pursuit once he descended around 4:40 AM. The charges levied against him included felony vandalism, possession of graffiti tools, and resisting arrest.
