In an urgent plea for public assistance issued earlier, the Alameda County Sheriff's Office has been actively seeking help to locate Leah Marie Lewis, a 14-year-old girl reported missing from her San Leandro home. According to Hoodline, Leah was last seen on the 1200 block of Kentwood Lane around 11:43 p.m. yesterday, before her disappearance triggered concerns due to her young age and mental health status.
The Sheriff's Office described Leah as 5'4" tall, weighing around 120 pounds, with black hair tied in a ponytail and brown eyes. When she was last seen, she wore a dark grey Under Armour long-sleeve shirt and black sweatpants. The fact that Leah did not have a cell phone or money, combined with her unfamiliarity with public transportation, has heightened worries about her safety and well-being.
The Alameda County Sheriff's Office can be contacted at (510) 667-7721 with potential leads or sightings, and they stress the importance of immediate reporting to either their office or local law enforcement agencies.
Thankfully, in a recent social media update that came as a relief, the Alameda County Sheriff confirmed that Leah Marie Lewis has been located.
