As reported by ClickOrlando, the Sanford Police Department is actively seeking a man who allegedly engaged in unsettling interactions with young girls on their way home from school.
Authorities highlighted two incidents yesterday, first near S. Holly Avenue and later at W. 24th Street. Both encounters occurred between 3 p.m. and 4:15 p.m., when students typically journey home. According to witnesses, the suspect is a thin white male with long curly or wavy hair, sunglasses, and a pink license plate cover. The suspect conspicuously drives a silver sedan with tinted windows, as detailed by FOX 35 Orlando.
Amplifying concerns, ClickOrlando mentions that one of the girls reported similar incidents in two previous incidents—one near Maple Avenue on Monday and another by Chase Avenue on Tuesday.
The police have not released details about the man's age, the make and model of his vehicle, or what he said. However, the general description of his actions and the vehicle's unique features may help people recognize him and provide useful tips for the ongoing investigation.
