Sanford authorities have reported the arrest of Sara Elizabeth Jameson, 34, on allegations of fatally shooting her boyfriend, 31-year-old Brandon Michael Sullivan, last month. According to ClickOrlando, the incident occurred last Friday at an apartment complex in Sanford, leading to second-degree murder charges against Jameson.
The police were called to the scene shortly after midnight to find Sullivan with a gunshot wound. Despite attempts to quickly administer life-saving measures, Sullivan ultimately died from his injuries. Evidence and statements from the scene were seemingly in conflict, as doorbell camera footage caught moments of the altercation. A report by WESH further detailed that the altercation directly led to the shooting that resulted in Sullivan's death.
The events unfolded at the 4302 Wyndham Crest Blvd. apartment complex, where the police in her residence discovered Jameson. The report also indicated that Jameson's three children were in the apartment at the time of the incident. A family member later took them to stay at their residence. Consent was initially given for a police search but was almost immediately rescinded; thus, a search warrant was secured. Authorities found a 9mm Taurus G2C, several magazines, and various rounds of ammunition inside Jameson's home.
Doorbell camera footage has been instrumental in the investigation, depicting Sullivan striking Jameson and, subsequently, her phone call to 911. As the case proceeds, Sanford police urge anyone with additional information to step forward and contact them or Crimeline at 800 423-8477.
