The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office, via a recent social media post, has disclosed the results of an investigation that led to the recovery of a swathe of stolen goods, including multiple firearms and an abducted canine from a Denair burglary case. Detectives from the General Crimes Unit were set on the trail following a spate of vehicle burglaries and thefts that struck the area last Sunday.

The breakthrough came with the aid of surveillance footage which allowed the detectives to pinpoint the suspect's vehicle, putting them on a path that ended at a home in Merced. In a collaborative effort with the Merced Police Department, the search warrant they executed unveiled a considerable cache of purported contraband, gunmetal, and a stolen dog, the Sheriff's office detailed in its announcement.

With the case unfolding, the Sheriff's office is now reaching out to those who may have fallen prey to theft in Denair on that fateful day, urging any potential victims to step forward. A call to action was set forth: "We urge anyone who may have been a victim of theft in Denair on February 16, 2025, to contact Detective Gomes at (209) 652-0654 or Detective Domingos at (209) 226-5998," as per Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office's Facebook post.
