This latest shooting punctuates a disquieting week for Tacoma residents, coming just three days after a tense family altercation that left a man fatally stabbed in the affluent enclave of Heron Ridge Drive NE. Arrested in that case was the man's stepson, as disclosed by a report from MyNorthwest. Representatives there often boast scenic views of Commencement Bay, stand the higher-priced homes, where crime of this nature is notably rare.
Following Friday's shooting, efforts to save the man's life were swiftly initiated, yet despite the prompt response and intervention by the Tacoma Fire Department, his injuries were too grievous. "Lifesaving measures were initiated until Tacoma Fire Department personnel arrived to take the man to a local hospital," said a release. Tragically, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
