The Tampa Police Department has made a sixth arrest in a felony assault case near Davis Island Dog Park. The incident occurred last Thursday and involved multiple individuals in a violent confrontation related to a dispute earlier in the week outside of Tampa city limits. Chief Lee Bercaw condemned the violence, stating, "This was a brutal and senseless attack that has no place in our community," according to the City of Tampa.

Sixteen-year-old Jace Villanueva, born July 31, 2008, was apprehended on felony battery charges after an incident involving multiple suspects aged 15 to 18. The suspects face various charges, including burglary with assault, aggravated battery, and attempted murder. Witnesses reported that Jacob Ely threw a rock at a vehicle during the altercation, while Ely, Owen Callahan, Orian Robinson, and Grayson Shearer allegedly forced their way into a black Ford pickup, assaulting the passenger. The passenger was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and has since been discharged, while the driver was not physically harmed, as reported by the City of Tampa.
