
A tragic incident has taken a young life in the community as the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) investigates a shooting that claimed the life of a male teenager last Sunday evening. According to LVMPD's statement, multiple reports led officers to the 4700 block of Corsaire Avenue at approximately 8:23 p.m. where they discovered the victim with gunshot wounds. Despite the swift arrival of medical personnel, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
During their probe, LVMPD detectives pieced together the victim's final moments, revealing he had attended a party before the fatal encounter. Walking home, he was followed by a group of individuals, among them 18-year-old Damian Delgado. It was after a short distance that Delgado allegedly proceeded to then pull out a firearm and shoot the victim identity of the deceased has not been released yet, as authorities are waiting to notify the next of kin. Information regarding the cause and manner of death will be provided by the Clark County Coroner’s Office. before he and the accompanying group made their escape from the area. Officers later managed to locate and apprehend Delgado, who is now facing open murder charges at the Clark County Detention Center.
While the identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin, such information along with the cause and manner of death will become available through the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
