Three individuals were shot at Goose's Acre Pub on the Waterway in The Woodlands, just past midnight today, as per reports from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office (MCSO). KHOU detailed that upon arrival, deputies found two men, aged 31 and 29, and a 27-year-old woman, all suffering from gunshot wounds. These victims were administered first aid by witnesses before being transported to the hospital.
Shortly following the incident, a 27-year-old male suspect from Houston, according to ABC13, was subdued by bystanders and sustained injuries before law enforcement took him into custody.
MCSO announced that "the suspect is currently in custody, and there is no ongoing threat to the public," and added that detectives are working to uncover the series of events leading to the shooting. The names of those involved have remained undisclosed to maintain the integrity of the ongoing investigation, as stated by KHOU.
Captain Rhyan Droddy from MCSO described the shooting scene as "very wide," indicating that the area where the incident took place is extensive and that there may be multiple aspects to investigate. Droddy mentioned engaging with witnesses to collect more evidence, as reported by ABC13.
