Chicken Guy!, which first opened its doors in 2018 at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, has been expanding across the country and selected Times Square for its first New York City location. The venue boasts a menu featuring six different sandwiches, hot tenders, salads, and milkshakes. Yet, as reported by Time Out New York, anticipation for the new Fieri spot doesn't seem to have materialized into actual diner enthusiasm.
The Eater review highlighted that the chicken itself was disappointing, with pressure-cooked cutlets turning out dry and the fried chicken dumplings described as less than appealing. Nonetheless, Fieri's menu does include a few items with potential, such as the chopped cheese egg rolls which, if one could overlook the heavy-handed salting, might serve as a comfort food fix.
