Initial stages of the project will involve intermittent lane closures with the aid of flaggers to maintain the ebb and flow of traffic crews will also set up temporary traffic lights come early March to streamline Route MM to a single lane, permitting the flow of two-way traffic, despite the expected delays, the road will remain open throughout the duration. All scheduled work is dependent on the cooperation of weather conditions and could face adjustments.
In consideration of the ongoing work zone activities, MoDOT has issued an advisory asking all who traverse Route MM to buckle up, put your phone down, obey all traffic signs, and slow down and move over in work zones. The initiative aims to ensure the safety of both the workers on site and the drivers passing through the area.
