Residents in Northeast D.C. are left grappling with the reality of gun violence following a triple shooting incident. According to a Metropolitan Police Department report, on Sunday, officers were called to the 4000 block of Minnesota Avenue, Northeast, after receiving a report of gunfire around 1:10 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered three men with gunshot wounds.

Initial response efforts found one victim still conscious and desperately attempting to hold onto life despite his injuries. The other two victims were lying unresponsive, with the injury’s severity foreshadowing the worst. D.C. Fire and EMS quickly intervened, trying to resuscitate the victims. Unfortunately, one man, 29-year-old D’andre Williams of Waldorf, MD, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two were transported to a local hospital, where 24-year-old D’ontae Bryant of Northeast, D.C., also succumbed to his wounds.

The police actively investigate the case, seeking clarity and justice in an otherwise chaotic and tragic situation. In their efforts, they are asking for the community's help.
