A birthday celebration in Northeast Harris County escalated into violence last Saturday night, leaving two injured after a neighbor reportedly opened fire during a family gathering. According to Click2Houston, the party was disrupted when James Thompson, 63, allegedly caused “a disturbance” and subsequently shot at partygoers.
The incident took place on Bradfield Manor Drive near Lake Houston, where the host family was engaged in birthday festivities. Despite not knowing what provoked the argument, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported that Thompson got into a quarrel with people at the party and brandished a gun, according to KHOU. In the driveway where most of the attendees were standing, the homeowner was reportedly shot first.
