Two juveniles have been implicated in a break-in at a Wareham 7-Eleven, triggering a chain of events that ultimately led law enforcement to their location. According to a social media post from the Wareham Police Department, officers were alerted to the scene on Tuesday, shortly before the stroke of midnight, by an alarm activation at the convenience store located at 3 Barker Road. Upon arrival, officers observed a shattered glass door and blood smears, suggesting that the perpetrators might have been injured.

Officers followed a trail of blood for over half a mile, which led them to a residence where they found the two juvenile suspects. The 15- and 16-year-olds matched the individuals seen in the store’s security footage. Authorities also located the stolen items from the 7-Eleven at the residence, linking the suspects to the crime.

One of the suspects suffered a hand injury in the break-in's course, necessitating medical attention. Wareham EMS ushered the injured juvenile to Tobey Hospital for treatment. The two were levied with charges including "B&E in the Nighttime for a felony, Larceny from Building, and Minor in Possession of Alcohol," according to the Wareham Police Department.
