On Friday in Spring, police responded to a shooting near Hickory Twig Way and Cypresswood Drive. Harris County Precinct 4 deputies arrived and found a man with gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead. Two men were taken into custody, as detailed by CW39.

Suspects wearing dark hoodies and black pants were seen fleeing before being found in a deteriorating house with several teenagers. Cpt. Jose Garza stated, "It appears that it was being used as a party, drug home." Eight teenagers were detained, and authorities are working to contact the property owner. The connection between the meetup and drugs remains under investigation. One person in the victim’s vehicle was unharmed.
