Upon arrival, they encountered a challenging situation with the unresponsive two-year-old, deputies immediately initiated life-saving measures, waiting for Shelby County Fire Department personnel to assume the scene, FOX13 Memphis adds. The child was rushed to Baptist Pediatric Hospital, yet, despite the rapid response and desperate efforts, the hospital staff pronounced the child deceased by 8:18 pm.

The Shelby County Sheriff's Office has yet to release details regarding the potential cause of the child's unresponsiveness and subsequent passing, making it clear that this is an active and ongoing investigation, as per WREG.
